Business Development<br>

To support a corporate strategy of increased growth, a Business Development division will be established at Össur hf. as of 1 September 2001 .  The task of the new division will be to explore new business opportunities in existing markets and expand company activities into related markets.<br>
Mr. Arni Alvar Arason, CFO of Össur hf., will be Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Arason has a degree in business administration from the University of Trier. He has been with Össur since 1996, as Marketing Director from 1997-1999, and as CFO from May 1999. <br>

A new CFO has been appointed at Össur. Mr. Hjorleifur Palsson, Auditor and Senior Partner of Deloitte & Touche Iceland, has accepted the post of CFO at Össur, starting 1 September 2001. <br>
Mr. Palsson has a degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Iceland,  and is a chartered accountant. He has been with Deloitte & Touche since 1999 as Auditor, Member of the Board, and Senior Partner. Prior to that, Mr. Palsson was Senior Partner at Stod – Accounting Firm. <br>
