Össur Appoints Lukas Märklin as Chief Operating Officer
Egill Jónsson, Executive Vice President of Operations, has decided to retire at the end of the year after 27 years with Össur. Lukas Märklin has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be a member of the Össur Executive Committee. A native of Switzerland, Mr. Märklin comes to Össur from Straumann, the world’s largest dental implant manufacturing group. His career with Straumann spans over two decades, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Märklin holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETHZ Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
