Össur hf. signs letter of intent to acquire Century XXII Innovations

Reykjavik, Iceland and Jackson, Michigan, US – October 30, 2000:  ÖSSUR (Iceland Stock Exchange: OSSR) today announced that it has entered into a letter of intent to acquire Century XXII Innovations, Inc., in a stock for stock transaction.  The closing is scheduled for December 1, 2000, subject to shareholder approvals and customary closing conditions.
