Around 200 portfolio managers and investment analysts have voted Ossur's Investor Relations the best of any company in Iceland.

Nominated in the category for medium / large companies (in terms of revenues), Ossur took the platform alongside other prime movers in the Nordic region including Nokia (for the Finnish award), TDC (Tele Danmark, for Denmark), Telia (Sweden) and Norske Skogindustrier (Norway). Other nominees for the Iceland award were Bakkavor, an international fish products company, and Islandsbanki, one of the country's leading banks

Investor Relations Magazine Awards are recognized worldwide as a benchmark of quality Investor Relations. The awards are backed up by in-depth research. In ten regions around the world an independent survey of portfolio managers and analysts is commissioned. Each individual identifies the public companies with the best investor relations in a range of categories. Retail investors are also surveyed via the web. The assessment covers a variety of financial communications such as annual reports and financial statements.

While Ossur operates on a global level, with an extensive manufacturing and sales network, the majority of its investors are in Iceland where the company was first listed on the Iceland Stock Exchange.
