ET Regroups, New CEO Lennart Johansson Emerging Technologies (ET) is regrouping with Lennart Johansson, formerly Atlas Copco's Senior Vice President, and an ET Partner for the last half- year, becoming CEO from January 1, 2001. The present CEO, Peter Sandberg, will become an adviser on the corporation's development and investment issues. He will also continue to serve as a board member. Kjell Spångberg, ET's Chairman, commented that "Lennart Johansson has a very solid industrial background, and has been active in developing enterprises with considerable cost-efficiency, which is vital now that the venture capital industry is entering a phase characterized by a sharper focus on profitability and consolidation. With the SEK 500 m-plus ET has available in cash, looking ahead, we'll be able to do a lot of attractive transactions," "Peter Sandberg has done an excellent job, laying the foundation to ET's operations. His position as an adviser and Board member bodes well for sustained continuity", continued Mr. Spångberg. In response, Peter Sandberg said "now that the first phase of ET's build- up is complete, I opted to transfer to more long-term development and investment issues within our organization. At the end of the year, Lennart Johansson- who I've worked very closely with over the last half-year- will assume operational responsibility for ET.
