Nordic region's leading venture capital company accelerates pace of in- vestment: SEK 200 M in investments in May and June Since May, Emerging Technologies has carried out some ten investments with a total value of approximately SEK 200 M in network economy companies. Several of these investments have been made in the wireless communications segment. Emerging Technologies' investments include the following: * Brain Dock, which develops and markets e-commerce solutions for the mo- bile sector, * Purple Technologies, which sells software to the wireless software in- dustry, * Civista, which will construct and integrate customized mobile platforms, * Pocit Labs, which manufactures solutions for wireless terminals, * Todos Data Systems, which manufactures products including smart-card terminals and ISDN products for home use, and * Adventuro, a portal for adventure sports and adventure travel. "We are maintaining a high rate of investment and see many interesting in- vestment opportunities in a market which we believe will virtually explode in the next few years. Mobile development is proceeding very rapidly, both in terms of market penetration and technological progress. As a result of our geographic base and the breadth and depth of our network, we have ex- cellent conditions for achieving a leading position in this segment," says Peter Sandberg, ET's CEO. Investments have also been made in existing portfolio companies, such as the portal Oppido, and the e-commerce company Dressmart.
