Emma Evans confirms three new Secret Supper Clwb events

Emma Evans, contestant on Sky Livings My Kitchen Rules, has announced the dates of three upcoming events hosted by her company, The Secret Supper Clwb.

Following on from the hugely successful Cooking for your Valentine demonstration, The Secret Supper Clwb has confirmed these events for the first quarter of 2014:

  • Chef Demo, Dine & Wine - Monday 24th February 2014
  • Pop up Secret Supperclwb, Roath, Cardiff - Monday 17th March
  • Mothers Day lunchtime chef demo - Monday 24th March 2014

Speaking of the new Secret Supper Clwb events, Emma said: These chef demos are laid-back, intimate gatherings that allow me to express myself as a chef. We encourage our guests to participate as this increases their enjoyment and helps them gain new skills.” 

Established in February 2012, The Secret Supper Clwb holds pop up dining events in different venues in South Wales, regularly featuring guest chefs, dinner and live music.

Emmas stature as a chef was affirmed by her participation in Sky Livings competitive cooking show, My Kitchen Rules, judged by celebrity chefs, Lorraine Pascale and Jason Atherton. Emma is a contestant on the show, which runs from January 2014.

Emma specialises in cooking savoury dishes. Typically, these comprise a variety of meats and fishes cooked in a bistro style with big flavours and vibrant colours.

Emma Evans – Backgrounder

Emma Evans is a Newport-based chef, co-founder of The Secret Supper Clwb and founder of the Welsh Mums in Business Network. A highly experienced hospitality professional, Emma has catered for HRH Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex and The Welsh Secretary of State.

Through the Secret Supper Clwb Emma hosts regular live cookery demonstrations at quirky venues in South Wales. Often featuring guest chefs, dinner and live music, these events explore themes such as cooking with unusual meats, matching food with wine and creating inspired sharing boards.

Emma’s success in the hospitality sector is driven by a passion for food which developed from long hours spent with her father in the kitchen of their family-owned hotel. As well as expert skills in cooking with families – including men and children – Emma holds a degree in Hotel Management from the University of Wales Institute. She has a background in sales, recruitment and event management and spent two years in Dubai. Emma describes her cooking style as rustic and bursting with flavour.

In 2008, Emma established the Welsh Mums in Business Network to give home-based self-employed women a forum to meet and develop business, support and networking opportunities.

From January 2014, Emma will represent Wales as a contestant on Sky Living’s competitive cooking show, My Kitchen Rules, which is judged by celebrity chefs, Lorraine Pascale and Jason Atherton.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys keeping fit at the gym. Her determination to keep fit as led her to run half marathons and 10k races, as well as training for her first Tough Mudder later this year. Emma also enjoys spending time with her family, watching her boys play football and rugby and going on walks and cycling.
