ERAS[®] IN GYNECOLOGY SURGERY DECREASES COST PER PATIENT BY MORE THAN $4000
Based on real osts and including specific costs due to the implementation, the ERAS program in gynecologic surgery induced significant decrease of overall costs by $4.381 per patient. The total cost saving during the implementation period was $1.498.302 and the total costs continued to decrease in the three years after implementation. This proves that the implementation in gynecology is cost-effective and remains so after the implementation.
