After heading up LEGO Interactive for eighteen months, Tom started the UK based publisher Giant Interactive, most notably known for its LEGO games including award winning LEGO Star Wars. “I am a strong believer in building communities in and around games to really improve the gaming experience”, says Tom Stone, “and Terraplay is in a strong position to become the leading company that is best at servicing the games industry with middleware solutions for connected gaming.” “I am excited to have Tom onboard”, says Terraplay CEO Sven Hålling, “with his industry experience and contact network he will be of great help in fulfilling our vision of connecting gamers and building communities for both game publishers and operators.” “We see strong growth in the games industry”, says Fredrik Adams, Venture Partner at VPSA (ex Viventures), “and believe higher value connected gaming will have an increasing market share. Terraplay’s key technology enables better gaming for its game publishers and mobile operators clients. But there are also applications in gambling, for media companies and console/PC/handheld publishers.”
