Enea strengthens its business concepts in order to meet customer demands The Enea Board of Directors has decided to review the corporate structure in order to strengthen the business concepts. One change will be to bring the OSE product business together with certain related services offerings from Enea's consulting businesses. The non-related consulting businesses will be developed within the Enea brand according to their local market conditions and will operate as independent profit centers. In parallel with these changes a total review of the cost base in the entire group will be made with focus on profitability in every business. These changes are being made to adapt the company to current market conditions and to better meet customers' increased demand for complete solutions. This will create opportunities to develop Enea's business in an offensive way. In a weak market for real time operating systems, Enea has increased its market share. The sales of the real time operating system OSE has been continuously strong in the first half of 2002, as compared with the overall development of the market. The following changes will be made in the Enea group structure: The OSE product business and related services offerings from other companies in the group are being brought together. The business idea is to offer the market real time operating systems and related products together with services for development of complete platforms or other customer specific development. Other consulting businesses within Enea will be structured as independent profit centers. "In our judgment the consulting businesses will be most successful by acting even more clearly on its local market responding to regional and market-oriented conditions", says CEO Ola Berglund. "Profitability in every part of the group, including OSE Systems, is a key objective in the entire review of the business." A total review of the entire cost base is being done in conjunction with these structural changes. The focus is achieving profitability and positive cash flow in all individual parts. The Board of directors believes that these changes will significantly strengthen Enea's business concepts and competitiveness.
