Revised Forecast for Full Year 2001 At the request of the Board of Directors, the President and Chief Executive Officer of ENEA DATA AB presents a revised forecast for the full year 2001. The current uncertainties on the Swedish consultancy market together with the global telecom slowdown are affecting the sales for the Enea group. Because of this the previous full year forecast can not be reached. This revised forecast includes uncertainties due to the future market development. The consultancy operation altogether is judged to grow organically by 10- 20 percent, with a positive operating margin. The uncertainties in that estimate are mainly due to the development on the Swedish market for consultancy services. The OSE business is judged to grow by more than 25 percent for the full year, resulting in Net sales of more than SEK 320 M. The previous forecast was a growth of more than 50 percent. The Net loss is expected to be between SEK 120 M and SEK 150 M, as compared with the previous forecast of a loss of about SEK 60 M. The loss interval is due to uncertainties in the short-term development of the global telecom market. The full year result of the Enea group is expected to be about SEK -100 M excluding good will depreciation, as compared with the previous forecast of a Net profit excluding good will depreciation. In the light of this revised forecast a group wide program of different measures is launched, including: - Structural overlook of all subsidiaries - Especially for OSE Systems possible structural changes are investigated to adopt the company to slower growth than previous estimates - Internal cost savings programs These measures are expected to save about SEK 40 M in 2001. The investigated measures in OSE Systems will primarily aim at securing profitability from 2002 and on. The short-term market development is hard to foresee. The long-term market position of Enea's products and services is judged to be strong, and the long-term goals for profitability and growth remain unchanged.
