Energy Fundamentals has added Turkey to its extensive coverage of the greater European power markets in EPSI:DATA, its online data visualisation and extraction system. This high quality fundamental data enables decision makers and analysts to develop insights into the fast-growing Turkish power generation sector using the fully integrated EPSI:MODEL scenario simulation module.

EPSI:DATA is underpinned by a thoroughly researched, cross-checked and validated database of information focussing on key plant information such as fuel types, capacity and efficiency as well as load and interconnection data. EPSI:MODEL automatically links to this data and has the same geographic reach. The integrated online platform provides analysts and decision makers with up-to-date data and the ability to undertake rapid scenario and what-if analysis, thus reducing the risk inherent in major decision-making processes.

Dr Twan Vollebregt, CEO of Energy Fundamentals, said: “We are currently in a period of major change in the European energy markets as we move to a higher percentage of renewable energy use, a greater degree of interconnection and a changing regulatory and subsidy landscape. The EPSI platform puts the tools right into the hands of decision makers, enabling wider insight among key executives.”

“The move to add Turkey was prompted by client demand,” adds Vollebregt. “It is one of the few growth regions in Europe at the moment, and as a poorly interconnected country, power plant development has been strong. By adding Turkey to the EPSI platform, we are enabling firms across Europe to make informed decisions about their investment plans in this growing market.”

EPSI:MODEL’s coverage currently comprises: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
