Research analysing the effect of policy on hourly electricity prices

Zurich, 11th June 2012 - Energy Fundamentals has signed a co-operation agreement with the University of Vienna (UV) and Technical University of Munich (TUM) as part of its continued strategy to forge strong links with university research departments in the area of power market analysis and modelling. This agreement will see Energy Fundamentals, which provides fundamental European power data and modelling through its EPSI platform, support research in the field of energy economics.  

The research is analysing the effect of various policies on hourly electricity prices. As part of this, a fundamental electricity model for Germany and Austria will be developed. The research project is being supervised by Prof. Dr. David Wozabal, and Energy Fundamentals will be providing its modelling knowledge and market data.
