Call for entries to this year's Energy Institute Awards is now open

The Energy Institute (EI)'s annual awards competition celebrates the best in innovation, technology and excellence across the depth and breadth of the global energy sector. The call for entries is now open and individuals and companies are invited to submit their nominations before the deadline of 28 June 2013.

The EI Awards recognise the dedication and commitment of those working in the energy sector, and comprise eight categories covering:

• Communication
• Community Initiative, sponsored by Nexen
• Energy Excellence, sponsored by Ninox
• Environment
• Innovation
• Individual Achievement, sponsored by Mott MacDonald
• Safety
• Technology, sponsored by Costain

Louise Kingham OBE FEI, Chief Executive, Energy Institute, says, ‘As the leading professional membership body for the energy sector, the EI works to promote the knowledge, skills and good practice of those working in energy. These prestigious awards celebrate the best in energy and showcase latest technological and environmental developments. I encourage all those working in the sector to put forward their projects to get the recognition they deserve and join us in acknowledging the contribution the energy sector makes towards society as a whole.’

Award submissions consist of a max. 1,000 word summary with background information covering the development of the project, and its aims, impact and benefits. To make the most of your entry, it is recommended that nominees liaise with their organisation’s PR, marketing and communications team to ensure all of the relevant details are included. One of the most important elements of each submission is to include the outcomes of the project, particularly those with measurable results.
