The Renewable Energy Marketplace will provide everything farmers and landowners need to understand how to generate income from renewable energy.

The countdown to Renewable Energy Marketplace, the largest energy event in the south west, has begun in earnest with online registration now open for the major exhibition. The show will provide everything farmers and landowners need to understand how to generate income from renewable energy.

The show features a dedicated landowners zone and workshops on which technology is right for you, from biomass, heat pumps and hydro to solar PV, solar thermal and wind. A programme of talks covers:

  • Energy farmers - an opportunity for diversification?
  • Farm scale anaerobic digestion
  • Large scale solar
  • Supermarkets - driving down carbon
  • Renewable heat projects – understanding Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) opportunities on the farm

Merlin Hyman, Regen SW chief executive, said: “since the launch of Renewable Energy Marketplace four years ago thousands of farmers and landowners have starting generating their own energy. This year’s event is dedicated to providing everything farmers and landowners need to know to cut energy costs and generate new sources of income - on one day in one place.”

The event, which is run by Regen SW, includes sponsors such as Lightsource Renewable Energy and Jinko Solar as well as partnerships with Mole Valley Farmers and the Forestry Commission.
