Eniro 118 118 has decided to concentrate its directory assistance operations from eight to seven locations in Sweden. This means that operations in Örebro will be re-located and that 60 permanent employees will be offered jobs in other locations.

Eniro 118 118 is re-locating its operations in Örebro in order to increase efficiency and concentrate operations to fewer locations.

All permanent employees, a total of 60 persons, will be offered employment in other locations. Eniro 118 118 will offer those employees who choose to move financial assistance for their moving costs and offer training assistance for those who choose to train for new jobs.

“This is a very difficult decision to take. The reason that we are phasing out the unit in Örebro is that we have to reduce square meters rather than number of employees. Recruitment is an important area for us, therefore all the employees in Örebro are offered jobs in other locations. By concentrating operations to fewer locations, we can reduce costs and focus on developing the technology and the more complex services that are increasingly in demand. Among other things this can be access to driving directions, maps via mobile phones, opening hours and information from different sites”, says Barbro Sjölander, President of Eniro 118 118.

Cost savings are expected to amount to about SEK 10 M annually as of 2009. Restructuring costs are estimated at approximately SEK 10 M and will be recorded in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Union negotiations were initiated and have been completed.

Eniro 118 118 AB is currently represented in the following locations: Helsingborg, Kristianstad, Borås, Örebro, Norrköping, Stockholm (head office), Sundsvall, Östersund and Luleå. A total of 850 persons currently work at Eniro 118 118.
