EO Nashville’s Recruitment Efforts Outpace Every Other Chapter Worldwide

NASHVILLE, Tenn. March 24, 2011 – The Nashville chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is in first place globally for adding the most new members since July 2010.

EO Global includes 7,500 entrepreneurs, from 118 chapters in 38 countries. The Nashville chapter has 82 members. To join, an entrepreneur must be younger than 50 years old and be a founder, co-founder or controlling shareholder of a company with gross annual sales exceeding $1 million.

"This is a huge accomplishment, especially considering the size of Nashville compared to many other EO chapters," said Debbie Gordon, founder of S3 Asset Management and Snappy Auctions and new EO Nashville president. "I couldn’t be more proud to represent such a healthy and vibrant group. This is really due to the hard work of our membership co-chairs Joe Freedman and Dan Hogan who tirelessly spread the good word."

Nashville gained global bragging rights by adding 25 new members this fiscal year, edging out South Florida, which added 24. Other contenders for the top spot included Atlantic Canada with 22, New York City with 21 and South Africa with 21.

Founded in 1994, Nashville is also the oldest top-performing chapter. The South Florida chapter was founded in 1997, Atlantic Canada in 2010, New York in 1998 and South Africa in 2005.

"When it comes to entrepreneurship development, Nashville is doing something right," said Dan Hogan, Medalogix CEO and membership co-chair. "Not only is Nashville adding and supporting entrepreneurs at a rate that outpaces much of the world, but Nashville also has a long-standing tradition and commitment to entrepreneurship."
