A more creative way to protect sensitive pharma
Safe pharmaceutical air transport takes more than technology. It takes an active mindset from everyone in the cold chain. That's why we sent Dora -- an 8-year-old girl with diabetes, who might have the power to improve the cold chain. Of course we didn't send her in person -- she's far too busy for that. We put her photo on an Envirotainer container, along with a message about how important its contents are to her. Pharmaceuticals can change people's lives -- but only if they arrive in the condition they were sent. Air transportation crosses timezones and temperature extremes -- from below zero at point-of-origin to above 50° on the tarmac. And when flight schedules keep moving and variables can change without warning, the people in the cold chain need to be fully engaged with what they are doing. By putting Dora's photo and message on the container, we aim to remind the people who drive the cold chain of the difference they can make to other people's lives. We wanted to see if it would help people to take a little extra care.Read more at www.envirotainer.com
