Epic partner Ratton School to enhance learning

Epic have recently formed a new partnership with Ratton School in Eastbourne.

Ratton School, a specialist school for the performing arts, was converted to a foundation school with a Trust on 3rd May 2011. Governors have now undertaken new responsibilities and created partnerships with local organisations, including Epic, to enhance the education and improve job prospects of Ratton students.

Epic’s role will include: making sure the school is at the forefront of IT teaching, encouraging staff to embrace technology in teaching and providing work-experience opportunities. Students will also have the opportunity to trial some of Epic’s e-learning programmes. 

Headteacher of Ratton School, David Linsell, commented, “Becoming a Trust school is really exciting for Ratton. As well as giving us greater control over staffing, assets, and admissions we have managed to attract a group of exciting partners including Epic.  Epic is already working with us for the benefit of our students, the company’s staff, and the wider community.”
