Epiroc appoints Martin Hjerpe as Senior Vice President M&A and Strategy and member of Group Management

Stockholm, Sweden: Epiroc, a leading productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries, has appointed Martin Hjerpe as Senior Vice President M&A and Strategy, starting March 1, 2019. He is currently Partner at McKinsey & Company. Martin Hjerpe will be a member of Epiroc’s Group Management. 

“Martin has a broad management consultant experience from working in many industries, including construction and mining equipment, and with different key topics such as strategy, growth, M&A and post-merger management,” said Per Lindberg, Epiroc’s President and CEO. “This gives him an ideal background for this new position in Epiroc.”

Martin Hjerpe, born in 1976, started working for McKinsey & Company in 2002, initially as a consultant based in Sweden and the United States. Since 2009, he has been Partner, based in Stockholm, with clients in industrial equipment, infrastructure and private equity. He has a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

With this appointment, Epiroc is expanding its Group Management team from five members to six. Martin Hjerpe’s role will include to drive the strategy process at the Group level and to build a long-term M&A strategy for the Group.
