Episurf Medical (Nasdaq: EPIS B) today announces that the Episealer® Knee Implant technology was presented as a part of the scientific program at the British focus meeting Sports Knee Surgery 2021. The presentation, “Episealer Mini-Metal implant – technique and indication” was presented by Dr. med. Johannes Holz from Orthocentrum, Park-Klinik Manhagen, Hamburg, Germany, and discussed patient selection, surgical technique and clinical evidence. The Sports Knee Surgery 2021 congress was held in Coventry, UK, on November 5, and addressed “How and Why” for specific techniques in knee surgery.

"We have known for a long time that patients who have received an Episealer® Knee Implant can often go back to an active lifestyle with sports activities. The fact that the Episealer® is recognised at this focused sports knee meeting, confirms to us that the orthopaedic societies share our experience and find our technology useful for the treatment of the challenging gap patients which are too old for biological treatments and too young for prosthesis surgery”, says Pål Ryfors, CEO Episurf Medical.
