Episurf Medical (NASDAQ: EPIS B) today announces that the first Episealer® surgery in the US was performed yesterday. The surgery was performed by Dr. Doug Haltom, MD at the West Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic in Jackson, Tennessee (Clinical Research Solutions, Jackson, TN), within the company's IDE Clinical Trial, EPIC-Knee: Episealer® Knee System IDE Clinical Study.

“The procedure went great today. Instrumentation worked extremely well. Excited about the future of this product and procedure” says Dr. Doug Haltom.

"This is, of course, a great milestone for us, and we would like to extend our gratitude to everyone involved. Many more surgeries are to come in the US, but the first surgery in the US is a special milestone for us", says Pål Ryfors, CEO Episurf Medical.
