CAP GEMINI ERNST & YOUNG AND EHPT PROVIDE NEXTGEN SERVICE PROVIDERS WITH NEW BUSINESS SUPPORT PLATFORM Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y), one of the largest management and IT consulting firms in the world, and EHPT, a global supplier of software for communications management, have today announced that they are co- operating on an innovative business support platform for next generation service providers in the telecommunications industry. NextGen CRM, as the new platform will be known, will be marketed and sold by the Nordic team of Telecom Media Networks, an industry practice of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Group. The consulting firm will leverage upon its global partnership agreement with EHPT to offer the EHPT portfolio of billing and customer care products as the basis of the new platform. CGE&Y will then integrate best-of-breed customer relationship management (CRM) products from other suppliers according to specific customer needs. The overall NextGen CRM platform not only features best-of-breed products, it also includes dedicated management consulting, system integration and an overall support responsibility as regards application management. The platform corresponds very well to market expectations relating to estimated major CRM investment areas and market trends for 2001. Moreover, according to a Gartner Group survey 1) of 600 US companies, it is ideally suited for use within the expected top 4 CRM investment areas in 2001.
