Ericsson acquires EHPT's Element and Traffic Management Operations Over the years, the Element and Traffic Management Operations have gradually become more integrated in Ericsson's solutions. By acquiring these operations from EHPT, Ericsson strengthens its telecom management activities by creating new possibilities and exploiting competence synergies. The new EHPT will employ 1000 people and will have an annual turnover of SEK 800 million. This strategic change will enable EHPT to focus on its successes and high growth opportunities for business support systems, including areas such as next generation billing and customer care, 3G billing, and Internet payment systems.
