Ericsson and Computer Answers announce global distribution agreement for billing and customer care Ericsson has signed a global distribution agreement with Computer Answers International Ltd. The agreement further strengthens Ericsson's telecom management solutions, enabling the company to distribute Computer Answers Customer Care & Billing System EPPIX to network operators around the world. Under the agreement, Ericsson will provide EPPIX as part of a turnkey solution, primarily targeting telecommunications operators in Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe. A competence centre has been established at the Ericsson offices in Ireland that provides the project management, integration, maintenance and support services for Ericsson customers of EPPIX. "It is Ericsson's strategy to offer only the 'best of class' Customer Care and Billing systems (CCBS). Computer Answers CCBS is an effective complement to our current product portfolio. The agreement will make it possible for us to provide solutions to different segments of customers," said Bo Carlgren, General Manager, Telecom Management Solutions, Ericsson Radio Systems. "Ericsson is recognised as a global leader with an exceptionally high level of technical expertise and the selection of EPPIX as their recommended CCBS for this segment of the market is a tremendous endorsement of our product and services. Customers demand quality solutions and Ericsson will now be able to provide such a solution to all their clients. Telecom Management Solutions (TMS) is a business unit within Ericsson Mobile Systems unit delivering business solutions and consultancy services to network operators around the world.
