Ericsson and Verizon Wireless in Industry-first Multi-Access CDMA2000 Demonstration Ericsson and Verizon Wireless today demonstrated seamless, high-speed packet data services with an industry-first multi-access demonstration via Ericsson's CDMA2000, 802.11b Wireless LAN (WLAN) and BluetoothTM solutions at the CDMA Americas Congress in the U.S. Utilizing Verizon Wireless spectrum, this multi-access solution for CDMA2000 1xEV illustrates how CDMA operators can efficiently and cost effectively deliver 3G Mobile Internet services to their customers. Ericsson's CDMA2000 1xEV demonstration shows how an operator, like Verizon Wireless, can implement a complementary access solution with 802.11b WLAN and BluetoothTM.
