Ericsson announces changes in executive management

Ericsson announces changes in executive management Ericsson has today announced a number of changes in the executive management. Jan Wäreby, currently Executive Vice President and Head of Market Area Europe, Middle East and Africa, is appointed new head of Consumer Products after Johan Siberg. The appointment is effective February 15, 2000. Jan Wäreby will be based at Ericsson's corporate office in London. The Business Segment Consumer Products has its main activities in Lund, Sweden and in Triangle Park, United States. London offers a good hub location for the segment management. Johan Siberg, Executive Vice President, will move to a new position as coordinator of Swedish operations, including representing Ericsson in industry associations and overall industrial relations. He will participate in major Ericsson boards and steering groups relating to operations in Sweden. Market Area Europe, Middle East and Africa will be divided into two areas. Ragnar Bäck, currently President and Country Manager of Ericsson in Italy is appointed Executive Vice President, head of Market Area Western Europe and member of the Corporate Executive Team. The appointment is February 15, 2000. Massimo Gentili, currently Vice President and General Manager Public Operators is appointed President and Country Manager of Ericsson in Italy as from March 10, 2000. Appointment of a Manager for Market Area Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa will be announced shortly.
