Ericsson announces new global multi channel sales strategy for its enterprise portfolio Ericsson announced today a major development of its distribution and sales strategy addressing the enterprise market. The business unit Enterprise Systems will now migrate the sales and distribution of its products and systems to partners - value added dealers and distributors, system integrators, and operators. "We are expanding the way we address the enterprise market. We will establish one of the world's largest multi channel distribution networks. This will enable us to serve our customers in a more competitive way, offering a greater choice of channels, a more efficient way of purchasing and combining solutions, services and products, and secure fast delivery", said Lars E. Svensson, Vice President and General Manager, Ericsson Enterprise Systems. As part of the new multi channel strategy, Ericsson Enterprise Systems will set up Ericsson regional offices and expand its current indirect channel by establishing business relationships with value-added dealers, resellers, integrators, operators and ISPs (Internet Service Providers). To secure continuity in customer relations and depending on the needs of local markets, the new way of working will in some cases result in established external distributors/franchisers taking over direct sales operations and personnel from Ericsson. The Ericsson Enterprise Systems product portfolio includes PBX systems, integrated global communication networks, cordless solutions, wireless LAN systems, computer telephony integration (CTI) applications, IP based switches, datacom products, and contact centers. Ericsson is the leading provider in the new telecoms world, with communications solutions that combine telecom and datacom technologies with freedom of mobility for the user. With more than 100,000 employees in 140 countries, Ericsson simplifies communications for its customers - network operators, service providers, enterprises and consumers - the world over.
