Ericsson aquires Matec S.A. to strengthen position in the Brazilian market

Ericsson acquires Matec S.A. to strengthen position in the Brazilian enterprise market Ericsson's Telecomunicacoes S.A. in Brazil has acquired 53 percent of the shares in Matec S.A. Ericsson had already 30 percent of the shares in the company. A public offer is being prepared to the minority shareholders for the remaining 17 percent in order to have Matec fully consolidated within Ericsson. Matec S.A. has 475 employees and a leading position in the Brazilian market for enterprise solutions.
