Ericsson has appointed new President for Ericsson Microwave Systems

Ericsson has appointed new President for Ericsson Microwave Systems Mr. Ulf Berg has been appointed new President for Ericsson Microwave Systems AB. He was previously vice President for Saab Ericsson Space since 1992. He was born in 1951 in Borås, Sweden and holds a Master of Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. Ulf Berg joined Ericsson in 1975 and has worked in various staff positions foremost in the area of defense and space electronics. "Ericsson Microwave Systems operates in a very exciting technical field with great market potential valid for both the defense electronics area as well as microwave communications. The new structure and strategy of Ericsson is very sound with a strong focus on market and customers," said Ulf Berg. Ulf Berg will continue the important development of defense electronics, as well as the civilian area of tele- and datacommunications, within Ericsson Microwave Systems. Ulf Berg will take up his new position as of March 1, 1999.
