Ericsson highlights power of connectivity at 2013 International CES

During its second major appearance at 2013 International CES, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) will expand upon its vision of a new connected world where communities, systems and intelligence come together for the benefit of all.
Ericsson President and CEO Hans Vestberg will participate in a CES SuperSession on January 9 titled "The New Network Effect Changes Everything." The session will be moderated by David Kirkpatrick, author of "The Facebook Effect" and founder of Techonomy.
Joining Vestberg on the panel to discuss how the relationship of people, machines and infrastructure will change in an increasingly connected world will be Rodney Brooks, Founder, Chairman and Chief Technical Officer of Rethink Robotics and Paul Mascarenas, Chief Technical Officer of Ford.
Additionally, Ericsson's Fredrik Garneij will participate in a panel discussion on January 10 titled "The Rise of the Next Mobile Internet: New Networks, Devices and Demands." The speakers will examine the new IPv6-based networks and what demands and opportunities the industry will face in the future.

Ericsson will demonstrate how Public Safety needs can be met through LTE (4G), WebRTC and other innovative solutions. WebRTC enables fast, HTML-5 development of high-value communications for law enforcement and other first-responders using LTE devices and an Internet Browser.
Communications
Using WebRTC and RCS development solutions, Ericsson will showcase how everyone can benefit from enhanced communications in the Networked Society. We'll demonstrate how telehealth is changing the way that physicians, patients and providers interact.
The Next Big Thing
