Ericsson joins CDMA Development Group at Fourth Annual World Congress Ericsson announces its membership in the CDMA Development Group (CDG) at the organization's Fourth Annual CDMA World Congress in Hong Kong, June 14-18, 1999. This membership signifies Ericsson's commitment to support the development and deployment of cdmaOne technology worldwide. In addition, Ericsson will participate in standardization and development efforts to ensure a smooth evolutionary path to third generation services with cdma2000. The CDG works to support the growth of CDMA and the evolution of the technology to provide third generation services, in particular wireless Internet access.
