Ericsson launches the Vari-Stream Solution for multimedia services at CeBIT Ericsson is launching a new package for delivering advanced services over broadband accesses called the Vari-Stream Solution at CeBIT. The solution includes Broadband Internet Access, Multimedia communication services and Voice over IP. The Vari-Stream Solution is a fast and cost-effective solution that combines IP and telecom expertise. As a complete package it is integrated, tested and ready to deliver. By providing a range of new services, like instant messaging and video conference, as well as traditional telephony services, all in a conveniently bundled package, the Vari-Stream Solution accommodates all new operators needs: A competitive solution that provides today's features as well as new revenue generating services With the Vari-Stream Solution, the operator or ISP also has the flexibility to choose between different access technologies. These include fixed Wireless (LMDS), Copper (xDSL), Fiber and Cable TV network (CATV). The solution will also allow operators to develop and implement their own services, through the openness of the solution.
