Ericsson makes donation to Harvard University for new Anna Lindh Professorship

Harvard's Kennedy School of Government has named a new endowed Professorship in Global Leadership & Public Policy in memory of Anna Lindh, the Foreign Minister of Sweden, who was the victim of a fatal attack in Stockholm one year ago. To establish the professorship, Ericsson is providing a cornerstone donation of USD 1 million.
With the full endorsement and support of the Government of Sweden and Minister Lindh's family, The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University will create the Anna Lindh Professorship in Global Leadership and Public Policy to remember Minister Lindh as a remarkable public servant, world leader, human rights activist and beloved citizen. Minister Lindh was especially devoted to the issues of conflict prevention, democratic reform and international cooperation.


"This is an honorable opportunity for us to pay tribute to the values that Anna Lindh represented," Ericsson President and Chief Executive Officer Carl-Henric Svanberg said. "The new professorship focuses on areas that are closely related to communication. Leadership, international affairs, conflict resolution and other areas of study that the professorship comprises are vital for prosperous development, and they are beneficial for all society."
