Ericsson provides enterprise mobile phone users full PBX functionality Telia Danmark is the first-ever GSM operator to launch Ericsson's new mobile solution for enterprises, GSM Mobile Centrex. GSM Mobile Centrex, which is part of Ericsson's new GSM Office Solutions package, provides enterprise GSM users all corporate telephony features of the office - while they are on the move. GSM Mobile Centrex, developed in cooperation between Telia Danmark and Ericsson, is now available for all GSM operators. With GSM Mobile Centrex, operators can extend their enterprise customers' number plans to mobile handsets. This means GSM users within a company can use their mobile phones exactly as they use the fixed phones at the office. For example, they can activate corporate telephone features, use in-house extensions, put calls on hold, initiate messaging services, and place calls through the company wireline network, as well as transfer calls and automatically redial on busy to complete a call. A major benefit is the cost savings that an enterprise can achieve, as GSM subscribers have full PBX functionality billed at the lower tariff rates for calls within the company. GSM Mobile Centrex is part of Ericsson's GSM Office Solutions, which offers a complete solution portfolio for GSM operators targeting the enterprise market. The solution portfolio provides a general, future proof migration path from simple, centralized solutions to advanced, local IP-based GSM services. The GSM Office Solutions portfolio of products makes it possible for operators to add users and services gradually over time in their enterprise offers, and at the same time utilize existing network investments. The product portfolio includes GSM Mobile Centrex, GSM on the Net, Mobile Virtual Private Network, Indoor Radio Base Station 2401, Ericsson Virtual Office, Office Zone and SIM card applications.
