Ericsson provides IP access technology to network provider Skanova Skanova, an independent wholesale network provider within the Telia group, has selected Ericsson as the supplier for Ethernet based IP access. Skanova will deploy the Ericsson range of Ethernet access products, based on LAN-technology, for their nationwide build-out of broadband access to residents. The Ericsson Ethernet Access product range, provided in co-operation with Extreme Networks Inc, will provide Skanova with the latest in IP network technology. This means carrier class communication all the way to the subscriber's home, enabling up to 100Mb/s symmetrical broadband connections, capable of simultaneously carrying, with highest security telephony, TV broadcasting, video and Internet access. The solution supports fiber to the home, as well as cat5 in-house cabling (ordinary LAN cabling).
