Ericsson's WAP browser will be exclusively distributed worldwide by AU-System Ericsson and AU-system today signed an exclusive international distribution agreement for Ericsson's WAP Browser, which-AU-System also has helped, develop. Ericsson recently announced that they will make their WAP 1.1 browser available at favorable conditions to device manufacturers, operators, applications developers and other WAP players. The agreement that was signed today gives AU-System the exclusive right to distribute the WAP Browser used in Ericsson's mobile telephones and terminals to other manufacturers worldwide. AU-System's offer also includes consultancy services for adaptation, e.g. for the user interface. Ericsson's WAP Browser is the world's first commercially available WAP component that meets all requirements in the WAP 1.1 specification. The browser can be found in Ericsson's already released mobile companion MC 218, and in the recently presented mobile telephone R320.
