Ericsson selected as sole supplier of core network and for upgrade to EDGE by operator Avea in Turkey
Under the agreement, Ericsson will double the capacity of Avea's network and implement EDGE technology. EDGE enables operators to improve the consumer experience by offering advanced data services, over the existing GSM infrastructure. By providing extensive network deployment and integration services, Ericsson will merge Aveas's existing networks into one seamless high-quality network with an increased coverage area.
