Ethernet DSL Access technology is an attractive solution for Finnet companies operating locally and nationally because of the low cost of initial investment and maintenance as well as the excellent scalability. Finnet operators can thus build a cost-effective broadband access network and make broadband services a mass-scale business.

"In 2003 the number of Finnet broadband customers grew by 94%. Our domestic market share is over 20%. With extensive coverage on the broadband market, we are now focusing on further developing our broadband services nationwide," says Matti Makkonen, Managing Director, Finnet Ltd.

"We are pleased that Finnet has selected our Ethernet-based DSL Access solution for country-wide deployment. Our solution is highly scalable, making it suitable to both small and large sites to provide always-on broadband access for up to thousands of subscribers", says Janne Laitala, Sales Director at Ericsson Finland.

Deliveries for several Finnet companies have already started.
