Ericsson has been awarded a three-year Managed Services contract by TeliaSonera International Carrier to manage its field operations for their fixed international infrastructure network.
The solution will enable TeliaSonera International Carrier to continue the streamlining of its operations, ensuring quality improvements and efficiency while focusing on its core business as presented in the restructuring plan last year.

"Sourcing field operations and maintenance tasks to specialized providers is a part of our strengths to plan and operate the network more efficiently, staying focused on service quality." says Jean-Claude Geha, Head of Networks, Vice President, TeliaSonera International Carrier.

Ericsson will provide TeliaSonera International Carrier with its global services expertise, taking over the responsibility for providing field maintenance services, including remote hands, spare parts handling and inventory management for the multi-vendor fixed infrastructure network. The contract covers countries in Europe and North America and all services will be supplied through a centralized function in Sweden.
