Web seminars for non-profit organizations Within the framework of the recently established ERICA-award, Ericsson will be arranging open Internet seminars on the web. Some of the world's leading decision-makers within the Internet-world will be participating. The seminar program is due to start on March 29th with the seminar "How do you create a successful community?" Among participants we note Bo Peabody, the founder of Tripod, ranked as number eight on the list of the world's most visited sites and Justin Hall, who among other projects has developed The Well with the Internet legend Howard Rehingold. The ERICA (Ericsson Internet Community Award) award was founded in January this year and is the first international award for non-profit organizations and communities within the Internet-world. The prize sum of 250,000 US dollars will be given out at a ceremony on June 3rd. The jury includes Ericsson's Managing Director Sven-Christer Nilsson, George Bell. Managing Director of i Excite, Bo Peabody, Tripod, Jane Metcalf, founder of Wired and Paul Brainerd, founder of Aldus. The award includes development support donated by a number of independent wed- developers such as US-based K2, KOZ, Mercury 7, Organic and the Swedish web- developer Brand Internet.
