PRESS RELEASE FROM ESSELTE AB September 9, 1998 Esselte Office Products strengthens senior management team Esselte Office Products has appointed three new executives to its management team as a step in the implementation of Esselte's strategy to become a world- leading manufacturer of office supplies. Magnus Nicolin has been appointed Executive Vice President, Global Marketing. He was previously employed at Pitney Bowes Inc. Margaret Adams is new Vice President, Information Technology, and comes from Avery Dennison. Both positions are new within Esselte Office Products management. Steve Bennett has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources. He previously held a similar position at EMI Music. All three report to Robert K. Scribner, President and CEO of Esselte Office Products, and are stationed at the company's London headquarters. The Esselte Group consists of two independent business areas - Esselte Office Products and Meto - which are global market leaders in office products and labeling systems, respectively. The Parent Company, Esselte AB, focuses on creating added value by being an active owner and implementing structural measures to streamline operations.
