Pär Åström has been appointed as the new CEO of Etac
The Board of Etac has appointed Pär Åström as CEO, effective from July 1 2024. Pär Åström is currently President of the Gardena Division in the Husqvarna Group. The appointment is a natural step as the current CEO Michael Wirzberger has previously informed the Board about his intention to retire.
Etac is a world-leading developer of innovative assistive devices and patient handling equipment. Over the past 15 years Etac turnover has increased fivefold driven by M&A and strong organic growth. In 2023 Etac turnover amounted to 4 820 MSEK with over 90 % of sales outside Sweden and the majority in North America. The company is owned by Nordstjernan and headquarters is located outside Stockholm.
“The Board of Etac is excited to announce the appointment of Pär Åström as the new CEO. Pär has over the past 6 years led Gardena to reach strong and profitable growth and we look forward to working with him to drive the continued success of Etac. We would like to thank Michael Wirzberger for the outstanding contribution to and leadership of Etac during the past 12 years in the capacity of CFO followed by CEO.
