Eternali has successfully completed its first deliveries to customers from its newly started wood chip facility in Brazil.
Eternali ("Eternali" or "the Company") has made its initial significant deliveries of wood chips to customers from its newly constructed facility in Moju in northern Brazil. These volumes mark the start of Eternali’s ongoing production and delivery to awaiting customers.
In May of this year, Eternali launched its wood chip production business area, and over the summer, the decision was made to invest in and work started to establish its own facility and organization in the city of Moju in the Pará region of northern Brazil. The facility has been operational since last week, and the first major delivery to a customer was dispatched yesterday, marking an important milestone for the company.
"Following our decision this summer to invest in and build our own facilities, we have now reached a crucial milestone as our first plant is now fully operational. I am very proud that we are following the plan we set early this year and that ton after ton of wood chips is now rolling out from our facility in Moju to awaiting customers," says Andreas Forssell, CEO of Eternali.
The customer receiving the first deliveries is ComBio Energia, a company focused on the green transition in Brazil, providing renewable energy such as biomass to the manufacturing industry. Eternali’s facility in Moju will have the capacity to produce up to 70,000 tons of wood chips per year, and there are already agreements in place with several customers who will receive their first deliveries of wood chips, or biomass, from Eternali during November.
"The demand for wood chips is high, exceeding supply, which is something we, as newcomers to the market, are clearly experiencing. We currently have good agreements with customers, some of whom request up to 2,000 tons per month. We have already identified new sites for our next two facilities in northern Brazil to keep the pace up and soon establish increased production capacity to meet demand," Andreas Forssell continues.
