Guests Light up a Life - Not a Tree!

This year Serena Hotels is donating its Christmas decorations fund towards a much more bright and beautiful cause - lighting up a child's life by granting their special Christmas Wish.

Serena Hotels has opted to ditch the deluge of decorations this year and instead bring light and joy to various children's homes and schools in the disadvantaged communities that surround their properties in East and Southern Africa.  

It's all about making dreams come true - and ensuring that these needy children get their Christmas Wish!  Sadly -  for some of them, it will be their first real gift!

Serena has asked hundreds of needy children what gift they would most love to find under the tree for Christmas.  Every request, each as bright as a star they will be written on, will be hung on Serena's Christmas trees at the various hotels and lodges to replace the usual baubles and bows.  Guests wishing to share in the joy of giving can also pledge a donation towards making these dreams come true in the spirit of global goodwill.  They simply need to select the ‘wish-tag’ of their choice at the property they are staying and pledge the funds that will buy what that little child longs for above all else. 

It doesn't cost a lot to put a big smile on the face of a child this Christmas.  The best decoration ever!

As a token of our and the child's appreciation  -  guests will get a photo of "their" child's happy face as Father Christmas makes his or her wish come true.
