Destination Golf, in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic and a small collection of boutique hotels and lodges in South Africa, were delighted to raise funds for Help for Heroes by donating the Star Raffle holiday prize at the recent “Heroes National Celebrity Golf Day” at Stoke Park. Now, Destination Golf are promoting a Special 10-night Golf and Safari Package including rounds at the renowned Fancourt and Steenberg – which not only offers great value for money – but for every booking made, a £50 donation will be made to support our heroes once again.

• A 5 night stay at Fancourt in a Luxury Room on a B&B basis – voted ‘Best Luxury Golf Resort in South Africa’ on the famous Garden Route, including a round of golf per person on both the Montagu and Outeniqua Golf Courses. Fancourt is home to three Gary Player-designed courses including Africa’s top ranked golf course – The Links (Golf Digest US 2012) which recently hosted the European Tour’s Volvo Golf Champions.
• A 2 night stay at Steenberg in Cape Town staying in a Standard Room on a B&B basis including a round of golf per person at Steenberg Golf Course. Recently voted “#1 Hotel in Africa” and “Top Foreign Golf Resort 2012” by Condé Nast Traveler US.
• A 3 night safari at either Garonga or Motswari Private Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province, both on a Full Board basis including all game activities. Garonga is home to the Big 4 and was just voted “2012 Top Fully Inclusive Resort in the World” by TripAdvisor. Motswari is home to the Big 5 including the famous white lions of the Timbavati. If guests wish to extend the length of their safari at an additional cost, both properties complement each other beautifully and are very different experiences.

Prices start from just £1,475 per person sharing (based on travel before 30 Sept 2012) for this 10-night package including the domestic flights between Cape Town and Hoedspruit/Phalaborwa for the safari and between Cape Town and George for the golf as well as all road/airport transfers. These rates exclude the longhaul flights, which start from around £678 per person on Virgin Atlantic. The package also excludes conservation levy/fees and drinks from the bar at Motswari. All drinks including house wines and local beers are included at Garonga but special wines and champagne are chargeable.
