Etteplan initiated co-operation negotiations on June 3, 2020 due to the change in customer demand and workload caused by the corona pandemic. The negotiations have now been completed and as a result, the layoffs could concern some 556 Etteplan employees in Finland. The negotiations concerned all of Etteplan's personnel in Finland, altogether some 2,100 employees; The possible layoffs would be implemented as indefinite, temporary or part-time layoffs. The negotiations did not include terminations of employment.
”We continue to strive to minimize the possible personnel effects by reorganizing work, using remote work and boosting sales. Some of our customers have continued investments and during the past weeks we have received a fair amount of new orders. However, the corona pandemic continues to impact our operations and the uncertainty continues”, says Etteplan’s President and CEO Juha Näkki.
