Etteplan's AI solution for information management brings savings to Kuopion Energia

Etteplan's Technical Communication Solutions’ AI-assisted service solution enhances work related to information management by identifying and extracting information from various drawings, enriching data in the document management system, and significantly reducing the time spent on information retrieval. The service solution will bring significant savings to Kuopion Energia in the future.

"We are taking significant steps in harnessing the power of AI together with our customers. AI and digitalization, in general, play an important role in achieving customer benefits and competitive advantage. With Kuopion Energia, we utilized the possibilities of AI to automate manual, time-consuming tasks, which saves a tremendous amount of time now and in the future. Kuopion Energia was open to new technologies, including AI, and the collaboration was rewarding," says Kimmo Kallio, Vice President, Etteplan's Technical Communication Solutions in Finland.

"Transferring routine tasks to be handled by AI increases productivity. Of course, new types of routine work may temporarily increase because AI operations need to be monitored and verified in the early stages. Etteplan has been able to provide a modern solution to time-consuming work, and through this project, it is evident that the benefits of AI can be achieved in various use cases," says Sami Koponen, Kuopion Energia's Maintenance Manager.

The benefits of Etteplan's AI-assisted technical communication service solution continue to grow as it constantly learns while performing productive work. The AI-assisted work model enables processing large amounts of data, resulting in a steep learning curve. Etteplan develops services for digitalization in various areas, including production facilities and business operations of industrial players.
