New interactive travel service from eTV The new interactive TV-service eTRAVEL has been launched today. It gives you the possibility to search amongst a wide variety of package holidays, with the remote control. The categories range from "Sun, sand & sea", "Sun & city" and "City" holidays. You can book the holiday whilst watching a travel program. City of origin, departure date, destination and hotel - you can book it all from your sofa. The tickets, together with a travel guide are delivered to you at home. - The idea behind eTRAVEL is to combine inspiration with simplicity, says Bo Blåeldh, MD eTV Broadcasting AB. We inspire by broadcasting travel programs and offer an easy way to book the holiday. Our customers can choose between approximately 40 different destinations, ranging from a sun holiday on Mallorca to a city weekend in London. The package holidays and the destinations vary depending on season and each week several special offers are promoted exclusively for the eTV customers. - The service is unique, Bo Blåeldh continues. It is technically more advanced than any other digital and interactive travel service worldwide and it has a broad variety of package holidays to choose from. Travel services are one of the most successful products on TV in the United Kingdom, the leading country in interactive digital TV. According to a resent survey from Mediavision the turnover of sales in Sweden for digital TV is expected to reach approximately 200 million SEK this year. The turnover will probably be tripled already next year. About eTV Broadcasting AB eTV is the first entirely interactive TV channel in Scandinavia. In addition to broadcasting music videos, film trailers, travel and entertainment programs it is also a marketplace for records, films, games, event tickets and now holidays.
