Brussels, 27 October 2011 – .eu is increasingly popular in Poland and the .eu registry, EURid, is boosting .eu awareness among interactive marketing companies by attending the Internet Poland trade fair in Warsaw (8-9 November 2011).

In Poland, .eu registrations grew by 7% in the year to Q2 2011 and there are currently more than 210 000 .eu domain names registered to Polish businesses, organisations and individuals. The .eu extension is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border operations by enabling companies to express the fact that they are open for business in other European Union markets.

EURid is exhibiting at stand 117 where staff will be available to answer questions about the benefits of being online with .eu.

  • Event: Internet Poland Conference and Expo, Międzynarodowe Targi Polska  Warsaw, Poland

About .eu and EURid

The .eu domain ranks among the ten largest top-level domains in the world, connecting 500 million people in 27 EU countries to one Internet identity. More than three million .eu names have been registered since the domain opened for registration in 2005. EURid is the not-for-profit organisation appointed by the European Commission to operate the .eu top-level domain. EURid works with over 850 accredited registrars and provides support in the 23 official EU languages. With headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), EURid also has regional offices in Pisa (Italy), Prague (the Czech Republic) and Stockholm (Sweden). More information at http://www.eurid.eu
